  2. PaddyPatrone: just awesome !
  3. chuck crouse: that's cool man!
  4. Idiomatick: This was SpaceX' first time too.... The US have actually blocked China because of paranoia and a dead spirit of cooperation. Which is really sad, China should be embraced into the international community not shunned from it.
  5. ThoseTolerableNoobs: @swunt10 First, I'm British, not American - and I've no idea why you said that about Americans in the first place. Second, they're getting paid a contract to fly various payloads to the ISS - not for the design/operation costs directly. Thirdly, while I know private space travel isn't any different - it should be. Private sector - dedicated money developed the aviation industry into something which accommodated the average, every day person, into flight, for example. Dedicated private money s
  6. Gary Miscikowski: Great work SpaceX
  7. Sarge Rho: Ablative heatshield. It slowly burns off, carrying away the heat.
  8. evkin117: i wish im alive when they find life on another planet
  9. tony montana: How old are you? Because by 2030 they promise to have almost 40 people living on Mars....
  10. TheRockhem: Согласен, я не русский, но я с помощью программы перевода, и SpaceX Элон Маск собираемся изменить мир, один запуск одновременно. мои извинения, если это имеет плохую грамматику.

  8. BrainBuzzz: UPDATE
  9. k.v.Narasimha Murthy: Elon should invest in quantam computing.
  10. rudrakshya1: 3:20 they still use Windows XP, may be the software/hardware which used in Spacex is not supported the modern OS.

  1. Dainty Canadian: Congrats onnyet another succesful launch!
  2. Patchuchan: +Randy King That or use a cheap third stage which should increase the payload mass fraction for GTO missions and keep the second stage out of a high energy orbit. On the Delta II which lacked a high energy upper stage like Falcon 9 this was the Star-48. Spacex would probably do something in house using the Kestrel or Superdraco engine if they choose to go this route. Another option would be to use Falcon Heavy and keep enough propellant reserves for recovery.
  3. dkr000theOne: American innovation at its finest.
  4. Zypofaeser: It wouldnt take that much. Af few houndreds m/s delta-v could probably do the deorbit. And they want to land the Dragon propulsively so why couldnt they land the second stage propulsively?
  5. Gokhan Polat: +Zypofaeser I think they are using the 9 Merlin engines, controlling them individually to control trajectory of the rocket reentering the atmosphere. This would not be possible with single engine second stage. #guessing
  6. Zach Lewis: No, this satellite was too heavy to attempt a soft landing.
  7. EtherasFox: This one *was* GTO (geostationary transfer orbit). SpaceX posted about 1 week ago the video of the first stage landing in the ocean. So... the answer is: they're already doing it! Upper stage will be more of a problem. It has much more distance to travel to come back to Earth (meaning it will need more fuel), but its also going much faster (so will need more shielding, which increases weight). It might be doable, but we should focus on the easier job first and learn from it, and then apply that knowledge to see if we can get that upper stage back.
  8. Ole Martin Gjersvik: +Randy King Space X has said that the will continue to sell one shot rockets as long as customers are wiling to pay for them. And that reusable has 30% less capacity. But when reusable rockets comes to the market my guess is that this type payload will go on a reusable Falcon Heavy when the price for that is less than a Falcon 9 one shot. If everything else is the same.
  9. op4000exe: Awesome video :D Thanks for the great video x)
  10. Cameron Burgess: Every successful launch is a step towards the future! #TeamSpaceX

  2. MrLucascanuto: So glad I'm not the only one!
  3. Abbreviated Reviews: I wish there was any thing at all that could make me that excited about my job...
  4. Fred Garvin: That must have been a huge moment for these people. Failure would have put the company out of business. Just a few years later, they began flying steady missions to the ISS.  An enormous accomplishment for small, privately held company that came out of silicon valley.
  5. Nadir Bagaveyev: So they can do filming and mission control won't be distracted by banging on the glass
  6. Joe Walsh: Maybe. But without any of the raw human emotions, of course.
  7. SwedenIsAwesome: That is the coolest mission control room ever.
  8. coldfusionracing: Coolest summer of my life, working on the solar panel system. What a relief that everything is working!!!
  9. Sandro: that's so amazing!!! NASA ♥
  10. llokoja: Why this video make me cry?
