Neil Diamond- Dry Your Eyes (With The Band) John Shane

  1. P Evo: Not a better voice than Dylan though.
  2. Igal Flint: "Dry Your Eyes" Dry your eyes and take your song out It's a newborn afternoon And if you can't recall the singer You can still recall the tune Dry your eyes and play it slowly Like you're marching off to war Sing it like you know he'd want it Like we sang it once before And from the center of the circle To the midst of the waiting crowd If it ever be forgotten Sing it long and sing it loud And come dry your eyes And it taught us more about giving Than we ever cared to know But we came to find the secret And we never let it go And it was more than being holy Oh it was less than being free And if you can't recall the reason Can you hear the people sing Right through the lightning and the thunder To the dark side of the moon To that distant falling angel That descended much too soon And come dry your eyes Come dry your eyes
  3. ruth carter: Absolutely Amazing
  4. Philomath67: That is exactly what I thought. lol. If he offers you kool-aid backstage, politely decline. Still, I like his very cool 70s shades.
  5. lanzacash: To me the most iconic point of the entire film.
  6. Joshua Neice: Both neil's were great that night. Always comeback to listen to this great song.
  7. byroncollis: That's why it's so awesome.
  8. Seanzie_73: +Jon Alan- Love, love, love Levon Helm, but you are right. On another day, under different circumstances, Levon would have loved backing Neil.
  9. Rick B: Helm's motivation in his book about trashing The Last Waltz generally, and Diamond specifically, has to do with his attitude toward Robbie Robertson in that everything to do with Robertson he tries to paint as negative a picture as possible.  Over the years many of the things he said in his book had unravelled and proven false. The degree of his bitterness grew as  years went on, to the point that, in an odd sort of way, actually vindicated Robbie in that maybe Robertson wasn't the real problem after all.
  10. tumbler down: Two different voices, same message. Same style. Who was First?
