I've shared a recipe that my family looks forward to having every Christmas as part of our traditional Christmas breakfast. TheNotSoOrdinaryWife has also shared a Christmas breakfast recipe on her channel.

Breakfast Casserole
1 pound ground sausage
1 cup milk
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
1 tsp. dry mustard
6 eggs
6 slices bread
1 tsp. salt
Brown and drain sausage. Remove crust from bread and cube. In a large bowl, beat eggs. Add all ingredients and mix well. Pour into a greased 13x9 baking dish. Bake at 350 degrees for 50 minutes. Cut into squares to serve.
*This is best if prepared and refrigerated the night before then baked in the morning.

- Kayla H - The eCommerce Mom: My mom makes a very similar recipe, except she puts the bread slices down in the bottom of the dish, then sprinkles the sausage over the bread and pours the egg mixture over top. I have also make a similar one with cubed bread and ham instead of sausage. I love both of them, and they both remind me of home. Thanks for sharing this recipe!
- mommyplus3: Do you cover it when you put it in the oven?
- How Jen Does It: Thank you! It is so easy. I'm going to make it with GF bread on Christmas morning so I can have some :).
- Very Blessed: My mom used to make something like too for special occasions. I haven't had it in ages. I think we may try it this Christmas morning along with some fresh fruit and maybe some muffins. Thanks for sharing! :-)
- Very Blessed: That all sounds very yummy! Do you make the banana bread & biscuits gluten free? Is Udi Bread what you use for the casserole? Thanks!
- How Jen Does It: I'm glad you liked it!

- How Jen Does It: Yes, it does!
- How Jen Does It: +Very Blessed I don't make the biscuits or banana bread gluten free. The biscuits are a special thing for my husband because I use his grandma's recipe so I don't want to change them. The banana bread is really moist and delicious and I'm pretty sure it will not taste the same if I make it gluten free :). I am planning to use Udi's white bread for the casserole. I've never made it that way, but I'm really hoping it will be yummy!
- How Jen Does It: Thank you! It is great for dinner, too.
- 1HappyMama 23: I tried this recipe after watching your video...delicious and easy! :)

- Christie Martin: Hi there, I thought I remembered you mentioning that you are gluten free now... do you make this GF?
- mrsnetrix: Looks yummy, tfs Our traditional breakfast at Christmas that was passed from our great grandmother but it's not a traditional breakfast here in Ireland. It sounds horrible for breakfast but over the years we've had visitors have it not knowing how they'll feel about it but they all love it! It's slices of roast beef with gravy and onions served with soda and wheaten farls and a dash of Worcestershire sauce. Deelish.
- Andrea Home & Life: that looks good! I make something similar but without cheese...going to try with cheese next time. Thanks for sharing. :)
